Our store was a NON smoking facility and we did not take in books if they smell of smoke, however some will have that "old book" smell or have a "grandma's house" or "storage" smell from time to time but will note it if we can smell it. If you have a sensitive nose, please ask before buying and we are happy to give it a smell test as we have good sniffers at our store!
