A scarce original history of the Buller District on the West Coast of New Zealand with much original material collected by the author who resided in the district all her life. Settlements include Westport, Lyell, Charleston, Nile River, Nine Mile Beach, Brighton, St Kilda, Addison's Flat, Croninville, Bradshaw's, Tauranga Bay, Cape Foulwind, Waimanagaroa, Denniston, Mokihinui, Granity, Ngakawau, Millerton and Karamea. CONDITION This copy is in fair to good condition overall with bumped spine and corners, slightly rolled spine but well bound, owner's signature and address on first endpaper, a spot stain on the first few pages, pages throughout clean and quite bright with tanned edges, double page 76/77 has a few small stains. Rear cover has a light circle stain from a cup. A comprehensive history of the Buller region, hard to find in original hardback form.
