The Yellowstone Trail was one of the auto trails posted by private organizations in the days before government-coordinated route numbering schemes. It ran across the northern tier of states, starting at Plymouth, Massachusetts and proceeding west all the way to Yellowstone National Park, then onward to Seattle, Washington. An original of these is very rare to find scrapped. Due to their extreme age, they inevitably fetch a premium whenever they appear on the collector's market. So here is your chance to own an excellent display piece, without paying an arm and a leg. The sign is scaled up from the original 12 by 12 inches, to 24 by 24 inches, and weighs 14 lb. 11 oz. This is a high quality, heavy steel sign. Accept no imitations that may be one-third this price, but are one-tenth the quality. No cheap tin to be found here, with the wrong fonts, layouts, size, shape, or any other manner of embarrassing imperfection.
