Description: This was a yard sale find and doesn't seem to have any branding or signatures on it, so I'm not sure exactly when it was made or who by. But based on some light Internet searching, I think it is an Otagiri brand teapot from the 1960s. Take that with a grain of salt since I am by no means an expert. What I can say is that it's glazed stoneware / earthenware with a yellow base and white flowers painted on top. There is half a label on the bottom that looks like an aged gold oval and it says "Japan." It's about 5" or so wide including the spout and the lid is detachable, but is currently taped down for storage / transport. The overall quality is fair. This has definitely been well loved. The handle is a bare wire, but I'm fairly certain it used to have a rattan wrap that has since fallen apart. There is also a hairline crack going through one side and the bottom, which you can see in the photos. It feels sturdy and solid despite that damage. Either it was previously glued back together or the crack is superficial. Still, I'd recommend only using this for decorative purposes.
