Description: The OEM rear springs on the Yamaha 1000R are very rigid, and give a harsh ride over small chatter bumps, as well as tending to “kick-up” the rear end off of jumps and bumps and making it land on its nose. Our tender kit delivers a much plusher, more compliant ride; and flattens out the landings off of jumps. Our kit is very user friendly, and needs no shock modifications to the shocks to install the kit, and comes with an installation instruction sheet, as well as our recommended settings for compression, rebound (F/R) and front shock pre-load. You will need to remove the rear shocks to install the kit. Our set-up retains the OEM rear spring, but adds a tender spring on top of it, and has adjustable crossover collars, turning the shock into a dual rate setup, which will allow you to dial in and adjust the crossover point when the dual rate tender spring transfers 100% back to the bottom OEM spring. ***This kit is a economical "band-aid" to equalize the unbalance between the front and rear OEM spring rates. To completely fix the spring issue on the YXZ, we have the Full replacement spring kit which is dual-rate in the front, and triple-rate in the rear. It is available on our website. The Full kit completely unleashes the capability of the YXZ to put the power to the ground, deliver a plush ride, and offers superior bottoming resistance over the OEM ones. This Full kit is our own , and is not available anywhere else, and utilizes SRS hardware and our own spring rates that were chosen after countless hours of testing. We use top-quality Eibach springs in our kits. Our Kits are however are different from the ones available directly from Eibach, they use different spring rates****Kit includes:(2) Eibach Tender springs(2) SRS Spring dividers(2) SRS Cross-over collar sets (1) Installation instruction sheet.
