Description: Selling a set of modified early RD350 crankcases. This cases were removed from a 1975 RD350 with very low mileage They are in very good condition. Crankshaft retainer circlip grooves have been machined into the upper center and left crank main bearing journal. This upper case was use as a guide or template, so we could machine the groves onto other lower cases, so the cases would accept TZ crankshafts. Back then there were no computer guided CNC machines, so this method for us worked very good. Also machining for TZ front engine mount dampers and mount spacers has been done to the upper case, but not the lower case. In the lower case a transmission oil drain plug hole has been machined in the middle of the casing, as all TZ engines have the drain plug in the middle and RD's have it on the right side. If the two cases are used together, it will accept a TZ crankshaft as there are four groves for the crank retainer circlip. The only difference is that the center and left circlips are located on the top instead of the bottom. The only thing to be done, is to machine the front lower case mounts to accept TZ mount dampers. These cases have been siting on the shelf for over forty years and have never been use for racing or on a bike since I've had them.
