It features true-bypass switching, so the pedal is never affecting your tone when you don't have it turned on. Here's a rundown of the controls: GAIN: This is the input gain of the Bass RC Booster. Turning it clockwise adds more volume, and subtly fattens the tone at higher settings.BASS: This is an active low-end EQ control. It can boost or cut up to 15 dB for frequencies below 90 Hz.TREBLE: This is an active hi-end EQ control. It can boost or cut up to 15 dB for frequencies above 8 kHz.VOLUME: This is the output level of the pedal. With the VOLUME and GAIN cranked, you can get up to 20 dB of clean boost, in addition to the TREBLE and BASS boost potential (that's a lot of boost). You can set it to unity gain with your dry signal, or you can turn the knob clockwise and push your tube amp to overdrive. This RC Bass Booster is in very good condition. The electronics work perfectly. The pots, jacks and stomp switches are all clean and quiet. You can power this with a 9-volt battery a 1Spot or Boss PSA-style ac/dc adapter, or your pedalboard power supply.
