It has a leather strip wrapped around the handle for easy gripping. It is painted silver/gray and accented with black to make it look used. Xena, played by Lucy Lawless, used this style foam sword for fighting romans at the end of the episode “When fates collide”. The foam swordsa were made to this kind of fight scenes to not to hurt anybody.
