British Army & Navy 18" Blade Waylett Sheffield Machete Knife ONLY Manufacturer: Wayett, Sheffield Model: Machete >--> Condition: Good - Very Good Blade Length: 18.00" TEXT GOES HERETEXT GOES HERE --> Offered here is a WWII era British machete survival knife. Scabbard is not included. There were several manufacturers that made machetes during WWII. They were primarily used as survival weapons to clear jungles and brush. Overall, this machete knife is in Good - Very Good condition, considering its history. The three (3x) rivets securely fasten the grip panels to the tang. They have a light layer of oxidation. The wood grips have small chips on the edge toward the blade, plus around the toe and have a rough finish around the right side panel rivets. The wood has darkened with age. The spine and sides have scattered scrapes and oxidation. Some of the finish has worn off the leading edges. The blade edge has no nicks or dings and appears to have its original factory edge. The tip is intact and comes to a sharp straight point. Most of the original finish remains. The left side of the blade is marked "WAYLETT / MADE IN SHEFFIELD". The "MA" in "made" have worn down. This machete knife will be a great addition to your WWII collection, or a machete knife collection in general. As with all used items, a light cleaning may be necessary to meet your standards.
