Description: This item is a genuine WWI US ARMY Identification Bracelet named to First Lieutenant Frederick W. Black The bracelet is used and is in good condition with some signs of surface wear and age, it is missing the snap link fastener. The backside is unmarked. The bracelet appears to be made of unmarked silver. The bracelet is approx. 6 7/8” long and weighs approx 0.3 oz. Preliminary researched revealed that during WWI Frederick W. Black was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, per the Hall of Valor website and other sources. I was able to find two photos of him and a short biography as well as his, Birth Certificate, Death Certificate, PA WWI Veteran Compensation Application, Newspaper Obituary and gravestone.
