Description: This is an original WW2 USGI 1911A1 slide manufactured by the Union Switch and Signal Company (U.S. & S CO.) in Swissvale, PA, USA. This slide has been in my personal gun collection for 45 years and the slide appears almost unused. Please note the original two-tone Parkerizing on the front of the slide and around the slide stop notch. If you have recently purchased a 1911A1 from the CMP, you may have noticed the manufacturer of the lower part does not match the name on the slide. Most 1911's being sold through the CMP are mismatched, which is very common for military firearms. This is your opportunity to make your 1911A1 correct, if your lower part was manufactured by Union Switch and Signal. The slide includes the original extractor, firing pin, firing pin spring and firing pin lock. Please look at the pictures carefully as they are part of the description of the condition of the item. This slide is sold as-is and I have described the slide to the best of my ability and have been honest with the description.
