Description: **I cant believe I have to add this disclaimer, as someone will always ask….there are no red lines on this photo. I would think it would be fairly obvious that I put those over the images. The lines are to prevent jpeg thieves from using this image, and posting on blogs and forums, probably the person asking the question. If you want to use the image, buy it!*** Measures 4-1/2” x 6-1/4”. An original photo of (then) Captain Eugene L Mullaly. Probably taken in the early 1920’s. Removed from his promotion file at HQ at some point. Each Marine officer had to submit and sign a photo for advancement to the next grade/rank and this was his submission for the board. Lullaly would enlist in 1905 and rise the ranks to Marine Gunner and Captain during WW1 and eventually reenter service for WW2 as a Colonel. He died in 1944 with his last command being Camp Matthews in San Diego. He was a prominent Marine Marksman holding Distinguished Marksmanship badges. He was a veteran of the Banana Wars. One of the only known photos of this Marine officer and this is the original. The one you send away to NARA is a scan of this very photo. Auction is for the photo. Rest of the photos are for reference and found on open-source internet.
