Bare metal surfaces on the outside and the blades in the hog have taken on a bit of oxidation from the dew and what not but I believe that a little bit of usage would clean them right up. I made sure to inspect them to the best of my ability by rotating the cutting head manually. All of the bearings seem smooth and quiet, and the blades spin freely.
