Description: Please note I am NOT an expert on this item at all, so all this information is just my opinion you'll have to be the judge of this fantastic collectors item for yourself. this is a TRAINED SCOUT-CHEVRON BADGE, that's from 1905-1921 most likely during World War I and afterwards , a super cool badge that's MOSTLY ALL BRASS, it has a metal hooks in the back with a pin that's goes through and also it's got a very old cloth that came with it ,which is super cool . this is exactly how I found this item, I did nothing to it except take pictures, and I haven't seen one like this one on eBay, some similar but not exactly like this one. It's got the beautiful saint emblem which is really cool, and then cross on the bottom of that, at least that's what it looks like to me .I'm not an expert ,but this is a fantastic find and I hope it goes to a great collector. The badge is approximately 3 and 1/2 inches Long at the longest point ,and approximately 2 inches wide at the widest point, very heavy thick and extremely well made, in my opinion . This item was found on the east coast of the United States the Maryland area to be exact. This is exactly the way I found this fantastic collectors item, I didn't even clean off the dust or dirt , I just took pictures, this would be a fantastic item to clean up, if that's what you choose to do, or you can just leave it alone and add it to a really cool collection either way this is a fantastic find. This item is mostly all brass, And it's got two hooks in the back. This is a fantastic find and a great collectors item. This would be a fantastic gift for any collector or any collection.
