Description: Wonderful Victorian Beautiful Girls Handsome Boys School Photo With School Maste What a wonderful Victorian period school photograph full of beautiful little girls and handsome little boys of the Victorian era. All are wonderfully dressed in their finest for the day in leather boots, leather shoes and wooden clogs typically worn by families in trades (farming, fishing etc). Many looking far to stoic and serious for their age, others you can see a hint of merriness just waiting to break out in fun and laughter as soon as this serious business of a photograph is done. The location of the photograph is unknown but the details suggest Dutch or Dutch immigrants. One of my favorite period photographs, I hate selling it, and so it is priced accordingly. The card stock paper the photo is attached to has a corner cut, a damaged area by the printed border and the layers of paper are beginning to separate at the edges with soiling and tanning. The photo itself has begun to separate from the card beneath as a result shows edge wear an tear in those areas and shows age appropriate wear and tear for an item that was not apparently framed and stored with heavier items. This is a period original, not a reproduction, out of a family estate. The card portion of the photo measures about 9" across and about 5 3/4" high. The photo image itself measures 6 9/16" across and about 4 1/2" high. Please do review all of the photographs as they are of the actual item you are buying.
