The shipping cost also needs to be adjusted on multiples of the same item because the calculated weight of the item includes a box and I will make that adjustment, as long as the items ship in the same box. I do not add a handling charge to the shipping cost for my items. The shipping cost is based on the level of service (priority, ground, 1st class), the weight and size of the box, and how far it has to travel. If you are on the west coast, that is a LONG way from here, so shipping is going to be expensive. I agree that sometimes that shipping number looks like a lot, but the system auto-calculates it for me, and I have checked prices versus USPS website and they are correct. However, if the shipping cost looks really out of whack, please contact me. I do make mistakes when entering package size and weight at times.
