Description: WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION, 3 Sheet Poster, No Theatre, Tour, 1956. The Agatha Christie play opened in NYC on 12/16/54 and ran for 645 performances. The cast included Francis L. Sullivan, Patricia Jessel, M. Clarke Laurence, Una O'Connor, Peter Harris and Francis Compton (all but 2 are original cast from the Broadway production). Directed by Robert Lewis. The photo was taken standing on a step ladder, hence the slanted appearance, but the poster is rectangular. Some of the posters have minor tears or short creases in the folds which have been repaired on the back with thin archive tape. Condition is near excellent with minor edge wear and tears repaired with thin archive tape. 3 Sheet Posters are advertising theatre posters printed on heavy paper and usually come folded in more than one section like old billboards -- hence the name. Commonly displayed in subway stations and most famously in areas like Shubert Alley in Manhattan's Theatre District. This is NOT a reproduction!! CONDITION: I use a six-step condition scale to describe the overall paper quality: Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. Good means just that: desireable for a collection with no immediate need to upgrade. Excellent and Mint are usually reserved for publisher and music store remainders. Expect Good-minus and Fair to have considerable wear. All specific condition faults are noted after the general condition. IMAGES: I use a digital camera so the entire piece is visible.
