Description: Special antique two piece matching set made of heavy brown wool, and hand done copper beads. There is one pocket in the skirt, a very rare occurrence in this time period. The bodice and the skirt are very well made with unique tailoring finishing and cuts. There are holes in both pieces ranging in size from pin holes to 1 inches, most of the holes are on the smaller side. The skirt is also lined in a waxed linen type of fabric and has a pleated hem. Approximately 90% of the beads are still attached and under them is intricate ribbon with lamé metal threads. A few of the buttons in the bodice are missing.
