Description: William Davis Coolidge [1873 1975] was an American physicist and engineer who made major contributions to X-ray machines and served as the director of the General Electric Research Laboratory. Coolidge is also famous for the development of ''ductile tungsten'' which is important for the incandescent light bulb. Listed for auction is the autograph of William Coolidge signed on a card. The autograph is signed ''W.D. Coolidge Schenectady N.Y. 1/24/47'' in blue fountain pen. The card measures 3.25 x 2.00 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise in fine condition.
