Samuel Johnston, Retired I do not see any writing other than what the author wrote on the inside front cover as shown in one photo. I do not see any highlighting or torn/folded pages. It doesn't appear that anyone ever read the book as it doesn't appear to have been completely opened up/folded open fully/opened... The cover front and rear has markings I believe from where someone used the book as a 'writing surface' ..there are a lot of lines/maybe even a few words? you can see if you tilt the book and look at it sideways. I tend to get very picky and look for any/everything that you may also notice...these really aren't very 'noticeable' unless you look down the cover at an angle... Corners have dents/dings on them. Some of our items are pre-owned, vintage, or antique and so may show signs of previous wear or age. We strive to try to take as accurate images as possible. Some of these images are extremely close up and so may show reflections or imperfections that would otherwise only be seen with magnification.
