Description: Up for sale is a very lightly used, vintage set of Whitman coin folders for US Barber Quarters 1892 – 1916, No. 9015 & 9016. These Whitman folders have been a quality, economic option of the coin collecting community for many decades, and are an excellent way to protect, organize, and display your collection. Note: Folders are empty with no coins included. The folders feature quarter sized “lock-in” ports in a compact, fold-out design. The folders can store the complete series of Barber quarter coinage broken out between the two folders: • No. 9015: 41 labeled ports for every year and mint mark of Barber quarter minted between 1892 – 1905.• No. 9016: 33 labeled ports for every year and mint mark of Barber quarters minted between 1906 – 1916. Folders measure 7-3/8” long and 5-7/8” wide. The folders are in very lightly used condition, with very few signs of previous use. All bindings are still complete and strong, with only a few spots of wear. There are a few spots of wear along the bottom edges of the covers (see pictures). All ports are crisp and clean, although one port has a small spot of wear in the bottom surface (port 1895-S, see picture). It appears that all ports in both folders are unused, and have never had coins inserted into them. Other than some light handling and shelf wear, the folders are in outstanding vintage condition.
