Description: RARE. So rare that I can't find another pair. I'd love to know the history on these jeans. If you are a rare denim collector, you probably know better than I. All of the pics are of the same ONE pair of jeans. These jeans are MINT. They still have remnants of the original price sticker on the label on the waist. When purchased new they were 1.99 at Weinstein Co. From what I have researched, Weinstein Co was opened in 1906 (after the San Francisco fires) and closed in 1966. My guess is that these jeans date anywhere from 1906 to the 1950s. My hunch is 1940s perhaps. Just a hunch. See all pics and enlarge each pic for a closer look. There are some flaws in the denim. This is from the manufacturing process. And, in my opinion, something that is fabulous about vintage denim. The color may differ in person than it looks like in the pics. Some of the pics were taken indoors in unnatural lighting. Most were taken outdoors. Size is 36 29 but here are ACTUAL MEASUREMENTS: Waist measures 18 3/4" from side to side. Rise (crotch seam to top of waist) 13 1/2". Hips (measurement from side to side along where bottom of fly starts) is 25 3/8". Inseam (crotch seam to bottom of leg) is 30". Bottom of leg measures 8 7/8". My assumption is that these jeans were made in the US. PERHAPS made in the San Francisco area. I have no proof of this. It is just a thought as early denim was made in SF and Weinstein Co (the store on the price tag) was in SF. If you have questions, ask before you bid. Item sold as is. Final sale.
