Description: You are bidding on a vintage Western Electric type D164957 oil condenser. It is rated at 2 MFD, and tests at 2.335 MFD with my meter. Where it came from, the schematic indicated it was the same as a Type 139A condenser, which is rated at 500 VDC. I believe the 200 VDC marking coincides with the highest voltage in the piece where it was used. It is in fairly nice clean, condition, with a date code of IV43. It measures roughly 1 1/2 by 1 inches in cross section, and is 4 1/2 inches tall, not counting the terminals or mounting bolts. It should be great for use in your tube amplifier project.
