Description: THE SAXOPHONE OVERHAUL It is our many years of experience andattention to detail that will give you the best saxophone. We aresaxophone players ourselves, so we know how things are supposed towork, and what needs to be done to make everything right. We onlywork on saxophones. It is all we do. We do more, spend more time, and strive to give you the best saxophone you have ever played. We use excellent leather pads, cork, and the best felt for a job that will last! * Inspect the sax for dents, damage, keys that do not move right, missing parts, etc.* Disassemble the sax and check thepads for unusual wear patterns or damage.* Remove old pads, cork, and felts. Wereplace ALL of these, not just that ones that “look bad”. * Straighten bent keys and posts. Makesolder repairs. Remove minor dents.* Clean and polish sax body. Your saxwill be cleaner that it has ever been!* Clean and polish keys. * Install ALL NEW PADS, ALL NEW CORKS,ALL NEW FELTS. Old parts are no good here! Many folks like to leavethe old corks and felts if they look OK, but old ones can be wornout. Sometimes the glue fails and they fall off. New ones staythere for much longer!* Level the tone holes. Many folks skipthis, but level tone holes are essential for a good air tight seal.* Install new neck cork.* Oil springs and rods and pivots.* Disassemble, clean, and greaserollers. * Assemble keys onto sax body.* Float the pads so they sealperfectly. * Set key heights and regulation. * Play the sax and make adjustments. We do this several times, as things may settle after a day or two.We keep at it until everything isright. We want you to get a sax that plays better than ever! Things that cost extra (we willtell you right away if there are problems of course): * Broken springs. These can be timeconsuming if the springs are rusted and stuck. We will let you knowright away if there are damaged springs.* Polishing a tarnished silversaxophone. This can be very time consuming!* Dent work. Many small dents can beleft as is, or we can take them out.* Solder repairs. Posts that have comeoff the sax will have to be soldered back on. No problem!* Bent or broken keys. Broken keys canbe soldered, or a replacement key can be found. * Missing parts. We can usually getthese, but this will take a little time. THINGS THAT WE DO NOT DO:Moldy or mildewed sax pads or cases. Send us a message and we will tell you how to prepare your sax forshipment to minimize the health risk for all of us, and we can repairyour sax.Buescher “snap in” pads. We do notcarry these pads. We can work on Bueschers that have regular pads. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR SAX APART. Small parts get lost and damaged. We learn a lot by seeing the sax“as is”, and by taking the sax apart.
