Description: For your consideration, we are offering for sale this Never Inked Waterman Exception Fountain Pen in the Night & Day pattern with Black Lacquer and Gold Trim fitted with an 18K Medium Nib. The fountain pen is new in the box with it never being inked. I consider this pen in Mint Condition and New Old Stock in the original box. The barrel and cap are gorgeous with beautiful color, perfectly gold-plated cap clip, and banding. There are absolutely no nicks, chips, cracks or repairs. The gold trim is 23K gold plated. The cap banding is stamped with, "WATERMAN PARIS". This pen takes luxury and glamour to new heights. Its square shape on the cap and barrel adds a unique twist and is quite comfortable in the hand. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. There are no monograms or personalizations to either the cap or barrel. This Waterman Exception Night & Day is the "large" size and measures 5 5/8" inches in length capped and 6 5/8" posted. Notice the stunning design details on the barrel -the panel of gold stripes that runs along the cap and barrel of two sides. These lines complement the geometric configurations prominent in the pen, and the gold is an elegant companion to the surrounding jet-black lacquer. The NIB on this Waterman Exception is an 18K/750 Solid Gold with a Medium point. The tipping measures .85mm when measured using a digital caliper. The nib has never been inked and wanted to keep it this way for the next user/collector. Waterman has discontinued the Exception Night and Day series and this series of pens is increasingly difficult to acquire in today's market. This is one classy and sophisticated writing instrument!
