I am not sure what caused these nor am I sure if/how to remove them. I think they just happen with age but there may be some product that can remove them. Light works great. There are two settings. Long cord. This is marked with the Waterford symbol on the front as seen in picture. This is very heavy/sturdy. The lamp inself weighs almost 5 pounds. This is sold as is with no returns.
