THIS LISTING IS SELLING 2 SETS OF 6 (SIX) WARD BROTHERS PRINTS. THEY ARE SIGNED BY LEM WARD AND JACK SCHROEDER BUT NOT DOUBLE REMARQUED. THE DOUBLE REMARQUED SETS ARE SOLD UNDER A DIFFERENT LISTING. Each print is signed by Lem Ward and Jack Schroeder and contains an insert explaining the decoys and their meaning to to spirit of the Ward Brothers. These decoys are classics from the early in the 20th century and are faithfully reproduced by the artist. There are 6 PRINTS IN THE SET, each with a separate Plate Number. The entire 6 folio set is a treasure. I am selling 2 sets of 6 prints each! Little known is that there is lovely verse on each print plate that was meaningful to the Brothers. It makes for an extraordinary presentation. These sets capture the unique history of the finest early decoy makers in America—the Ward Brothers! I need to note that on one of the Plate IV folios there is a slight machine-caused tear at the very top of the folio that also shows 1/8” into the top margin of the print. It is my opinion that this will not be seen or an issue when framed—otherwise I would not sell it! Again, only on Plate IV of 1 of the sets.
