Condition The condition is typical for a picture of this age including some discolouration.Biography Walter Duncan was born in Hampstead London in 1848; the son of Edward Duncan, a watercolour painter of some talent. He studied art at the British Museum and the Heatherley School of Fine Art and served a seven-year apprenticeship at the Royal Academy of Arts.
