Description: Walter Brockmann W-B Studios Cape Cod 1977. Mr. Brockmann completely sculptured, molded and produced the "Cape Cod", the only snow house design Walter Brockman personally completed from start to finish. This charming 1977 design featured thatched roofs and the northeaster flavor of the sea with bell, goose, and other charming features. This piece measures 6.75" tall and 7.75" wide. Walter Brockmann, considered the father of the snow house, officially opened his studio in 1964. His pieces were made in his studio in St. Louis, and show how he transformed snow houses into awork of art. One of the striking differences between his pieces and Department56 is the snow, which holds up much better than the Department 56 Snow and is more liberally applied. It is hand signed and identified as authentic on its base. I am the original owner of this item purchased at Bachman’s Floral in the Minneapolis area. This item is very good used condition with no chips or cracks as shown in the pictures. From a smoke-free and pet-free home
