Description: This Empire parlor lamp is rare and a stunning vintage (very old) piece that is perfect for collectors of antique lamps. The lamp features a beautiful Japanese floral, vines, moon pattern design painted on the glass body. The base is antique brass with an intricate design and complements the burner base. It has a 12” clear glass chimney shade that complements its design. It has a knob control on the burner, with a wick, it moves up and down, fuel cap comes off easy and the burner moves up and down easily as well. This has NOT been tested and I really don’t even know how it works. The lamp is believed to have been manufactured in 1889 and is a large size, measuring 23 inches with the chimney in height and 8 inches in width. The lamp's originality and age make it a great addition to any collection. This belonged to my Grandparents estate and they had over 300 oil lamps, most of them were Aladdin lamps. This empire lamp is nothing like the others, rare and I really don’t have any knowledge on its style or how it works. It will need a good cleaning but I will leave that up to the new owner. Don’t want to take any chances on ruining anything. Approximate Measurements 23” Total Height 12” Chimney I’ve done my best to describe the lamp and the photos are considered part of my description. If you have any questions or need different or more photos, please feel free to contact me before placing your bid. Thanks
