Description: TALLERES DE LOS BALLESTEROS Talleres de Los Ballesteros was established in the family's hometown of Iguala, Mexico in 1937 by Jalil Majul Ballesteros. Produced filigree in the Iguala style. 1941 Switched to the style of the other Taxco silversmiths and stopped making filigree. 1950s Began a commercial expansion selling to tourists in their own shops in Mexico City, Acapulco, Puebla and Cuernavaca. Work was farmed out ot small family workshops in Taxco.
