Description: Vtg Stanley Rule & Level No. 54 24" Folding Boxwood & Brass Ruler New Britain CT Click image to enlarge Description Offered for your consideration is a vintage No. 54 Stanley boxwood and brass bound 24" folding ruler. Made in New Britain, Connecticut, the ruler is comprised of 4 - 6" sections, that fold, with brass trim and hinges. It does retain the original two 'nibs' (see photo number 12) to help keep the ruler from splaying. Each inch on the ruler is marked in 1/8" marker increments. The ruler identifies the manufacturer as Stanley Rule & Level Company, and the location of New Britain, Connecticut. Overall, the ruler is in very good 'as found' used condition. There are no breaks or repairs, but it does show some discoloration to the wood and some patina to the brass, as well as signs of use and handling. The ruler is 24" in total length and each section is 1/2" wide. It has a total weight of about 4 ounces. Auctions can be combined to save on shipping. Thank you for viewing my listing.
