Description: This beautiful Thorens music box is made of a metal I can't determine. Maybe Silver or dipped in Silver? I did not attempt to clean it as I was not willing to damage it. The container is in perfect condition. Was it for powder or jewelry I just don't know. After taking the music maker out, because it had been overwound, I found that one tine had broken off (see photo). It plays but badly due to this missing tine so replacement is apparent.
