Description: You are purchasing this UNIQUE VINTAGE RARE CLEARFLOAT LUCITE ACRYLIC DESK CALENDAR SAND SEA LIFE SHELLS SEAWEED OCEAN BEACH IN VERY GOOD PREOWNED CONDITION. Signed Clearfloat TM on bottom along sand line on the interior in white. Clearfloat is a company located in Pawtucket RI USA that has provided lucite and acrylic concepts since 1946. Most likely age is 1940's to 1950's- MCM mid century modern. Housing is square block of lucite or acrylic with metal roll calendar on the top affixed. Metal could be brass with a patina or bronze. The metal roll is hollow with a window and contains a wooden roll that has a paper perpetual calendar attached. There is some loss of the paper calendar that looks original. Along the top of the window in the metal are the initials of the days of the week so you can line up the calendar. Looks art deco style lettering and lines on metal rolled tube. Measures approximately 4.5" length X 2.5" height X 3.5" depth. Weighs 15.3 oz. Great for office, desk, beach house, ocean decor, collectible or curio. Includes a sea creature, multiple shells, starfish,sand and seaweed. Very good preowned condition. Signed on bottom along the sand line. No chips, cracks, breaks or repairs. No rough corners or edges. Some scuffs and scratches especially on the bottom from prior usage and age. I would advise retaining original calendar if you decided to use daily. As found in estate - no box. Just great for the Clearfloat or desk collector or for that office or home by the sea. Thanks for looking!
