Description: For your consideration is this Superb, Scarce Very Elegant Highly Collectible Fine Quality & Absolutely Beautiful Vintage Paragon Gardenia Double Warrant Black Scalloped Footed Teacup & Saucer Set. Complexity and color combine to dazzle the recipient of this stunning teacup and saucer set by Paragon of England. The set has mesmerizing large floating Gardenias with foliage and green leaves with gilding - it is reminiscent of a garden! Paragon crafted this fine bone china featuring an aristocratic handle, delicate gold accents design with pedestal base & scalloped edges, detailed colors and a gracious presence. Pattern featuring wide low bowl with huge white flowers on black ground. Elegant Shape, Lovely Bright Colors, Finely Detailed, a Very Nice Quality Porcelain. This beautiful teacup by Paragon England is done in black and painted with lush white Gardenia flowers with green leaves in the center. The exterior of the cup is white with a simple gold band. The handle and foot of cup are gold accented. All outer rims are gold trimmed. Both pieces have a double warrant mark. Quality Artistic Set from the past, made in England by Paragon c 1940's with multiple flowers images which gives it a Victorian feeling. The Set has a stunning design and decoration: White gardenias with a black ground on both the teacup and saucer. Gold Gilt trim highlights the scalloped rims, cup handle, and footed base. It would be a beautiful decor item when displayed in your curio cabinet, adding a touch of old-world charm. The cup and saucer have double backstamp and double warrant, indicates this beauty was made between 1938 and 1949. Marked "Paragon”, By Appointment to H.M. The Queen and H.M. Queen Mary. Fine China England Reg." The saucer is numbered on the base. Approx. Measurements: the cup stands 2 1/8" high with a 4"diameter at opening, 5" across including handle with the saucer measuring 5 1/2" across the scalloped rim x about 1" height. Condition: Very good vintage Bone China condition. No chips, but there is a small Crack on the teacup edge. Also, there are a few very tiny scratches on saucer’s glaze, not really noticeable due to the rich design. Please remember that these vintage pieces are previously loved items…which is part of their charm. The condition is reflected in the price, but the set will display beautifully.
