Description: Vtg Nicodemus Christmas Ornament Happy Holidays Candle 3” X 2.25” Ferro-stone RARE ORNAMENT Excellent Preowned condition No chips or cracks Chester Nicodemus designed and created most all of his pieces. His studio was in Ohio, and he coined the term Ferro - stone for his ceramics due to the red Clay mined in Ohio, which had a high iron content, allowing for a russet brown undertone to the pottery . Most items I cannot give an exact date to, but his studio was open from the 1940s until the 1990s when he passed away. Nicodemus began making Christmas cards & ornaments in 1938.
