Description: Vintage Makah Nootka Native American Woven Lidded Basket. This is a small size. Dates from post 1930--the rim has a cedar bark strip and the base is plaited. Bright colors. Measures 1 5/8" high and is 2 3/8" diameter. Beautiful piece with no flaws. The Makah is a tribe in the Pacific Northwest on the Olympic Peninsula. Most of the items that I sell are antique or vintage as as such they do show signs of patina, use, and age. That only adds to the character that so many collectors desire. If there are any major issues or defects, I try to describe them to the best of my ability and as accurately as possible. In the event that I do miss something with words, I provide you with plenty of pictures to be included as part of the description. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. I am very responsive to messages and generally only take a few minutes to get back with you. I welcome International buyers and have no countries excluded from shipping to. As an International buyer, you are responsible for any customs, duties, or taxes that your country requires.
