VTG MPC 1973 Release Mercury Cyclone #21 Donnie Allison # 1-1704 Unbuilt

Description: From a recent purchase, this is the second release of this vintage NASCAR stock car kit. This kit was released a couple of years after the first released kit in 1972. The first kit was released in under kit # 1-1704-225 as one of the first four kits in this series. The following year four more kits were added to this series in 1973. Then in 1974 the eight kits were reissued with a shorted. part number to 1-1704 in a white box on the end flap of the box top. This box shows the new kits on the side panel and has the shorted part number on the end. This kit has been inventoried thoroughly and is missing the engine fan part #36 and the clutch/brake pedals pt# 30. It is unbuilt and has an excellent decal sheet. The box is very nice with minor stacking wear with no split corners and still has great color in the graphics. The two missing pieces are interchangeable from the other kits in the series.
