Description: Vtg Miniature Russian Fedoskino Lacquer Box Folktale The Golden Cockrell. The note that was in this box when purchased states "wood grouse." A knowledgeable collector has told me that it was misidentified and actually belongs to the story of "The Golden Cockrell." Considering the shape of the bird in the image and the scene as a whole, I readily concur. This was purchased from the estate sale of an avid collector along with many other boxes of various sizes, shapes, and subject matter. Some with Certificate of Authenticity, some not.
