Description: A Rare & HTF piece of Kent Art Ware of Japan. This line of ceramics was made in the 1930’s for the USA but pieces are elusive. The style of Kent Art Ware was typically Art Deco, here they added a twist of modernism. This figurine is quite large& appears to be a terrier dog breed to me, however, someone else has one similar to this listed as a dragon also here on eBay! It measures 8 1/4” long x 7 1/2” t x 4 1/4” at it’s widest point. It has some weight to it. It does appear to be hand sculpted as the tail, eyes & ears have been added. There is one small repair to the tip of an ear. The repair isn’t the best but it is on the back ear so when displayed is hard to see. Otherwise, there are no other chips, cracks, repairs, & only minimal age related crazing. Very unique,unusual & definitely cool piece that matches any decor! If you have any questions please ask.
