Description: This is a vintage Americana dinner plate from Hobo Joes restaurant / coffee shop. The plate was manufactured by Alox China by HF Coors, made in the USA. HF Coors was a China company created by the son of the Coors Beer founder back in the 1920s. The Hobo Joes mascot character was designed by a Walt Disney animator who was a friend of HF Coors. This plate measures 9 1/4 inches in diameter and is 1 inch in height. This plate is in very nice condition...no chips or cracks, no fleabites, no crazing. It has minimal paint loss, the Hobo Joe graphic is in excellent condition, is vivid and has no paint loss. The plate doesn't have any noticeable damage on the front, when held to the light you can see the utensil marks made from years ago, which is expected since this piece was used as diner ware. The back is stamped with the Alox by HF Coors, USA. The back is in decent condition... no fleabite or chips to the underside or base. There appears to be a discolored scratch on the edge of the plate (the left side), but it is smooth to the touch and just seems to be discolored and not an actual scratch. Please ask any questions.
