The foam on the inside was very disintegrated so I removed it and cleaned it out entirely, see photos. The fabric is semi-solid so the hat still holds it's shape, but all of the inside foam is gone. Hat will ship in a box to protect shape. Shipping: I am fortunate to live very close to my local post office; however, it is a rural location and only open in the mornings. Often, I am able to ship the same day payment is received. If not, the following business day. I leave town about once a month for a few days (usually an extended weekend). On such occasions, shipping is extended slightly and all purchases will mail out on the first business morning after my return.
