Description: Vintage 40s 50s RARE USA Made THOMPSON SHOE PRODUCT Sz 8 D in modern size. The size labeled is 480. This was an old system of sizing used back in the day. BEAUTIFUL CAP TOE OXFORD SHOE. These shoes are a very rare find. They are exceptional in quality and construction. Shoes are true NOS ( New Old Stock) never worn from the golden era of American shoe manufacturers. They were made in Brockton Massachusetts USA otherwise known as "Shoe City". They really are a rare find, is an understatement. They have been refurbished to the best of my ability. I HAD 2 PAIRS of these shoes that were purchased from the same person. The first was sold quickly because they were in excellent condition and new. These Unfortunately had been chewed on by a rat. I was able to sand out most of the damage. You can still see some. I then had to refinish the leather with some dyes, creams and waxes to try and make them as wearable and pretty as possible. They have a blue hue now and blue laces to go with. I know some collectors want original but these were too messed up to get them back to original. The lining also had to be cemented back in. This was what I could do at my skill level. I added rubber soles to protect the original leather sole as well as give more traction. See pics for details. What is in the pictures is what you will receive from me. Look closely, the shoes are not perfect. There are blemishes due to the rat. They are however very cool..
