Description: This type of wreath became really popular in the 1950's. Coming out of WWII, people wanted something DIFFERENT. The traditional colors and styles were considered boring, so foil trees, pink ornaments, and all kinds of new things were really popular. This wreath is really glitzy. It is the large size (they came in size 6" 8" and 10"). It is the 10" size and was 69 cents, which is pretty expensive for that time. The header features a great Santa and reindeer. The wreath itself is molded cardboard covered in gold foil. On top of the foil are little foil flowers, with little mercury glass bead centers. There is a mercury glass candle that is excellent. The bow is good, really the whole piece is excellent. It's in it's original package, which HAS been opened. I opened it carefully by removing the staples in the header and removing it from the package so I could photograph it. I then replaced the header and restapled it. Someone else has added a bit of scotch tape to the cellophane to the back of the package. It is really adorable, and won't disappoint. I would recommend that you use it the same way - carefully remove the staples, remove the wreath, and then replace it the same way when Christmas is over.
