This book is in overall good condition except for the title page being ripped: 3/4 of the page or more is missing. You can see the copyright and "Simon Schuster" on the bottom left, and on the back you can see the beginning page numbers for each chapter but not the chapter titles (see photos). There's also some writing in this book. This is a rare hard to find early edition of the armed services books. Not a digest. A complete book. Sold as is. Any of the writing in the book that I noticed I showed in the photographs. There's also a faint mark on the inside front cover; I believe it says, "special service center," and "star service group," but it's not quite clear. If this book were in perfect condition it would be worth more, but due to its rarity, it's still quite valuable... from what I can tell, eBay has not sold one of these particular editions since December of 2022. Prior to that, one sold in August of '22, and the one before that in August of '21. While we do list a longer handling time, most items ship in one to three business days.
