Description: Papers have names including some of his family members. Yoshiharu Yamagiwa born October 1918 and was a farmer in Fresno County when war broke out. Included are papers where he signed his property over on May 11, 1942 which was the time Japanese American Citizens were to begin reporting to Assembly Camps for eventual Internment. They were given a short window to dispose of their property and get their accounts in order. There's the letter from the Chevrolet dealer thanking him for paying off his car, somehow he must have been given time to do these things as he was already Army Active; there's also some life insurance premium receipts...one sent to Jerome Relocation Center located in Arkansas. Yoshi started active service with the US Army in January of 1942 right after Pearl Harbor. Included are a couple of his military papers.
