Description: Up for bids is a one of a kind Class of 1937 Senior Ball dance card from Bucknell University in Lewisburg, PA. It's in amazing condition for its age, with just some slight tanning to the pages and a bit of fray to the gold cord. Inside, you can see that not only did Hal Kemp & His Orchestra perform at the ball, but Hal Kemp himself signed the entire dance page of this card! Was he so struck by this young lady's beauty that he wanted her all to himself for the evening, boldly signing his name across the entirety of her dance card to threaten away any other potential suitors?? He signed the dance card page specifically, and not the dedicated "autographs" page, so it sure looks that way! While I don't have an actual authentication of any sort on the auto, a google image search of his writing style shows a very similar overall signature. An amazing piece of nearly 100 year old ephemera, and a truly one of a kind item! I'm by no means a professional grader, but I have been collecting comic books for over 20 years, and have seen my fair share of good, bad and worse condition books, magazines and other ephemera. I'm also a very harsh critic of things like this, I'd rather be surprised by a higher professional grading result than disappointed by a lower one. Using a CGC type grading scale, I would place this book in FN+ to VF condition. See the photos for the best indication of overall condition.
