Description: From Jonquiere, Quebec, Canada, progressive metal band, now with a somewhat less-abrasive, and more melodic song-structured approach, on cassette tape: Voi Vod - Angel Rat, 1991, first edition, US issue, on MCA / Mechanic, catalog # MRSC 10293. UPC: 0881102934. The tunes are strong, didn't know they had that in them after all the almost-industrial, and quite savage technical thrash of earlier days (which I also like; but this album just kills me!) Produced by Terry Brown, who did the production on a number of the best, old Rush albums. Even with the change, the guitar is still has that angularity, that comes at you from the side. But this isn't pop! -- they didn't sell out, by any means. It's just melody over...technical madness. ... The multi-panel j-card opens up several times to color art, and lyrics.
