Description: This beautiful lady has been by my side for over 20 years. She's been played in rural dancehalls and on festival stages. Several famous Cajun and Creole fiddlers over that time have held her in their hands.... she's been taken care of and has always been in a smoke-free environment. She has a few scars, but she’s really clean and has a smooth, mellow sound. Her favorite strings were Prims, but the ones on her now are needing replacement. If you have the privilege of become her guardian, be sure to put some new strings on her. She’s a Joseph Gunneries copy, and according to a local luthier, appears to have been made in the 1920s. That same luthier recently had her sound post reset and adjusted for tone. She has fine tuners on all four strings of her tail piece so you can easily get in in tune while on the stage. Speaking of the stage, she sports a nice L. R. Baggs bridge-mounted pick-up which emits a crisp amplified sound. Her companion is a gorgeous CodaBow Diamond GX. All the hairs are in fine shape. With a new set of strings and some rosin, that Coda will really make her sing. She comes in her home of the last 5 years: a purple-cloth inlaid AMERICAN fiddle case with two roomy storage bins, a place for two bows, and a humidity gauge The handle does have some peeling, but everything else in great shape.
