She was an art historian by training and had a keen eye for beauty and quality. She collected many types of things----parts of her collections were featured in museum shows that traveled across America. She was a third generation Californian and some of her collection would have come from family. I do not know the history of individual pieces but I do know that they were lovingly curated and cared for by her as a collection.
